ROADMAP makes progress on regulatory and HTA engagement 08 Jun 2017

On 8 May, Work Package 6 (Regulatory and HTA engagement) held the first teleconference of the newly established expert advisory group (EXAG). The meeting was chaired by Jacoline Bouvy (NICE) and involved all seven EXAG members from HTA and regulatory agencies across Europe, as well as Work Package 6 representatives.

The EXAG has the following aims for the duration of the project:

  • Engage actively in discussions, provide feedback and input into topics brought forth by the Work Packages, including on research activities and outputs;
  • Ensure that the ROADMAP outputs are not only of high scientific quality, but will also have meaningful applicability in the regulatory, HTA, and payer contexts.

The first meeting went well and members were able to learn about the expertise and backgrounds of their EXAG colleagues, and gain an understanding of the expectations for ROADMAP as a project. In addition, Work Package 2 “Outcome Definition” used the opportunity to gain feedback on their planned and ongoing work from the EXAG. The EXAG has planned a face to face meeting on 18 October to discuss specific topics highlighted by other Work Packages.
