ROADMAP joins BD4BO group meeting in Stockholm 30 Jan 2018

The latest BD4BO group meeting took place on  29 – 30 January in Stockholm, Sweden and was organised by TLV. BD4BO members met to catch up on the activities of each work package as well as the work of the disease specific projects: ROADMAP, HARMONY, and BigData@Heart.

ROADMAP was presented by Pall Jonsson (NICE) and Anders Gustavsson (on behalf of Novartis), where they talked about the projects’ stakeholder engagaement activities and plans for 2018.

Niklas Hedberg member of the ROADMAP Expert Advisory Group from TLV chaired a panel discussion called “How will real-world data impact policies and decision making?”. He was joined by panelists Sofia Wallström (TLV), Maria Palmetun-Ekbäck (Network for Swedish Drug Committees), Karolina Antonov (LIF), Andreas Hager (Sweden Coalition CF), and Pall Jonsson (NICE).

There was also a keynote from Anders Lönnberg, the Swedish Governments National Coordinator Life Sciences, on “The importance of life science for Sweden and the link to Real World Data.” Additional presentations were given by Mats Bojestig (Swedish Quality Registries), Fredrik Quistgaard (Unit for register-based research at the Swedish Research Council), Anna Beskow (Biobank Sweden), Johan Sundström (Director, Uppsala Clinical Research Center), and Andreas Hager (patient representative, Sweden Coalition CF).
